Promotion of 9th class students in 2020

Every year thousands of students of class 9 wait for the 9th class result as their future depends on the marks they get. The complex situation of COVID-19 this year caused the cancellation of the 9th class exams. Students were finally happy when they came to know that they have been promoted to class 10th and they no longer have to wait for the 9th class result. The promotion policy has enabled students to start their studies in class 10 and maintain their educational journey. However, the 9th class result of the students will be evaluated on the performance they show in the 10th class exam.

About BISE Multan

BISE Multan board was established in 1968 by the ordinance of the Government of West Pakistan. The board first started its activities at Central Training College but it was shifted to the Multan headquarter in June 1968. In the first days of its establishment, this board was also responsible to conduct exams of SSC and HSSC in the cities of Quetta, Kalat, Bahawalpur, and Dera Ghazi Khan. BISE Multan is now an autonomous institution that has to generate funds on its own from the fees it collects to conduct exams and provide other services to students. The government of Punjab controls this autonomous body of BISE Multan. Around 400,000 students take exams in both SSC and HSSC exams under BISE Multan examinations. Out of these students, almost 240,000 students are those who apply in the matriculation exams. The 9th class result of BISE Multan usually comes out every year in the last week of August.
