The Board not only looks after the development of its academic system, it oversees the moral and ethical education of college students as well. It manages and controls the overall mental, physical and moral development of students at intermediate level. It organizes several sports, debates and educational activities to build confidence in students. All the examinations and results of H.S.C (Intermediate) in Science, Commerce, Humanities and Home Economics groups, while D.P.E Examination of Physical Education are under BIEK Karachi Board responsibility.
BIEK Karachi Board has been running a well managed and organized system with a separate section of executing all its responsibilities with detailing and completion. The Statutory Committee of the board consists of Academic Committee, Committee of Courses., Appointment Committee for paper setters and Head Examiners, Finance Committee and Appointment Committee. The non-statutory committee is consisted of Establishment Section, Examination Section, Research Section, Audit and Account Section, Administration Section, Information Technology Section, Sport Section and Certification Section.
