BISE Kohat came into being on 19 January 2002. The Board started functioning in temporary offices in KDA Kohat. The main purpose of the board is to facilitate the students at SSC and HSSC levels. The Jurisdiction of BISE Kohat includes the following Districts and Tribal areas:-

Role and responsibilities of the board includes: affiliation of institutions imparting SSC and HSSC education within Pakistan and abroad and to prescribe courses of instructions for SSC and HSSC.it also ensure provision of requisite facilities in the affiliated institutions.
BISE Kohat Inter Result Procedure
Kohat board organizes exams on matric and intermediate levels, the procedure starts from the issuance of date sheet then they conduct the exams and after few months they announce the result.
