The swat Board of Intermediate &Secondary Education (BISE) swat established in 1992 two years later of the split of combined Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Peshawar for the entire province. It is located in Kokarai, on the marghazar Salampur road. The following Districts are included in the autonomy of BISE Swat:
Swat District
Shangla
Buner
It is empowered with administrative and financial authority to organize, regulate, develop and control Intermediate and Secondary Education in general and conduct examinations in the public and private institutions affiliated with it. Role and responsibilities of BISE Swat includes Affiliate institutions imparting SSC and HSSC education and to Prescribe courses of instructions for SSC and HSSC. It also Ensure provision of requisite facilities in the affiliated institutions.
The prime objective of Peshawar Board is to provide and ensure quality service at secondary and Higher Secondary or equivalent level of education in terms of conducting examination and to maintain the required standard and benchmark so as to achieve national goals; therefore, computerization system will be introduced in Swat Board for the betterment of the students of far flung areas especially in processing result, registration, result publication through website and so on.
